Amsterdam (Days 1, 13)

A center of European commerce since the 15th century, Amsterdam is a lively city of canals, museums and entertainment. Perhaps you'll choose to explore this Dutch capital by canal boat. Visit the Anne Frank House and the Rijksmseum, with its collections of Flemish masterpieces.
Attractions & Activities
Life in Amsterdam is centered on its many canals. So the best way to see the city is aboard a glass-topped canal boat, gliding through the town center. Discover the elegant merchant mansions and rows of waterside warehouses, which once housed the riches brought from the Far East. Look for the 17th-century "Skinny Bridge" and Amsterdam's narrowest house as you make your way past beautiful old churches to the Anne Frank House. Journey by the Jordaan, the old French Quarter that is now a popular artists' haunt with a wide assortment of cafés, antique shops, boutiques and galleries.

Oslo (Day 3)

Oslo promotes itself as an outdoors city where the people are friendly and the air and water are clean. It also unashamedly bills itself as Scandinavia's top destination and proudly boasts that its summer climate 'outwarms' all its rivals from home and abroad. In fact its 'niceness' is perhaps the most lasting impression that most visitors take home with them. It's not spectacular and there are other places in Norway that are more exciting, but Oslo is free from the very things that makes staying in most capital cities tedious. It's compact but not too small, it's old but not in decay, it's expensive but there are ways around it and it's welcoming without being in your face. So if you've saved your pennies and want to see a slice of Scandinavian beauty, pack your bags, head to Oslo and enjoy... everyone does.
Attractions & Activities
For a spectacular view of the city and the fjord, visit Akershus Castle. Sitting on a cliff, this fortress was originally built in 1300. The present structure dates mainly from the 17th century and features quaint buildings and beautiful grounds.

Skagen (Day 4)

As soon as you arrive in Skagen you squint: everything is yellow the houses, the railway station, the church, the shops and all of it bathed in a sunlight which seems to gain extra brightness by being reflected off two separate seas and a desert-like belt of sand dunes nearby. The distinctive colour of the town's buildings, stemming from the cheapest form of housepaint available, is a shade known throughout Denmark as 'Skagen Yellow'.
Attractions & Activities
The headland at Grenen, the northernmost point of Denmark, is a spectacular setting where the two parts of the Baltic Sea, the Kattegat and the Skagerrak meet. This makes for turbulent seas and strandings - beachings and shipwreckings are not uncommon. The frequent shipping losses and the strategic location as the gateway to the Baltic led to Skagen being the site of one of Denmark's earliest lighthouses, the Vippefyr, constructed in the 15th century. A reconstruction of the lighthouse is located to the north of the town of Skagen.

Stockholm (Day 6)

Swedens capital is built on 14 islands. Clean and bright, Stockholm has many museums that depict its Viking heritage and artistic soul. Shop for glassware and textiles displaying distinctive Swedish design. Spend some time at Skansen, the worlds first open air museum.
Attractions & Activities
The Gamla Stan is the oldest part of Stockholm and a popular attraction. Its narrow cobblestone streets are lined with beautiful buildings dating from the 13th through the 18th centuries. Today they house boutiques, restaurants, cafés, and clubs.

Tallinn (Day 7)

The capital and largest city in Estonia, Tallinn is located on the Gulf of Finland, south of Helsinki, Finland. It offers an interesting blend of modern, Western atmosphere with well preserved medieval buildings, walls and narrow streets. It is very popular with artists and has numerous galleries, museums and cultural festivals.

Helsinki (Day 8)

Despite a history that dates back 500 years, Finlands capital is a decidedly modern city. Shop for Finnish-made products at the Senaatti Center complex, visit the Arabia ceramic factory or delve into history at the national museum, Kansallismeuseo.
Attractions & Activities
The whole city with one card. The Helsinki Card is a handy, economical way to make the most of your visit in Helsinki. The Helsinki Card is a transport ticket and entrance ticket all in one and has a number of great value bonuses attached. All this is included in the Helsinki Card: - free unlimited travel on public transport in Helsinki - free entrance to sights and museums - free entrance & waterbus rides to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress and Helsinki Zoo - Korkeasaari - free surprise gifts - free Helsinki Card guide book with maps - great value discounts on sightseeing tours (up to 70%), Finnair airport bus (-30 %), culture and leisure programmes (up to 50 %) etc.

Copenhagen (Days 10, 11)

The center of Danish commerce and government, Copenhagen is one of Europes best-loved capitals. Visit the Little Mermaid statue and enjoy Tivoli Gardens, the 150-year-old amusement park. You can see the Danish crown jewels at Rosenborg Palace.
Attractions & Activities
Take a stroll down Langelinie Promenade to see the heart of Copenhagen. It runs along the water from the port, skirting the 300-year-old, moated citadel near the celebrated statue of Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid. The surrounding park is home to the Gefion Fountain, Copenhagen's most spectacular fountain.
