Ports of Call

Los Angeles (Day 1)

It's an exciting semitropical city of palm trees, swimming pools, television studios and aerospace factories. Los Angeles is one of the world's most exciting cities and the movie-making capital of the world. Wherever you visit, from ritzy Beverly Hills to the wondrous Hollywood Bowl, you'll have an unforgettable stay.
Attractions & Activities
No trip to L.A. is complete without a stop in Disneyland. This world-famous park has been a favorite of children - and adults - for generations. While you're there, you should stop by Disney's California AdventureSM park. This newest Disney park is an idealized version of California, from its gold-mining history to its colorful present.

Puerto Vallarta (Day 4)

Experience the warmth of Puerto Vallarta, which is quaint and full of history, yet modern, vibrant, exotic. Discover a destination of relaxing beaches, world class restaurants, and the latest in ecotourism and extreme adventure, in a setting that is internationally recognized for its charm and friendliness, with a backdrop of mountains, rivers, coastline, and emerald green waves of the Pacific Ocean.
Attractions & Activities
Take advantage of a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with our intelligent finned friends at the Dolphin Adventure Center. You'll be given an introduction to these friendly mammals. Then, you'll actually have the chance to swim with them in a specially designed pool.

Huatulco (Day 6)

A thriving port in the days of Sir Francis Drake, Huatulco has been reborn as an ultra-modern beach resort with world-class shopping and recreational opportunities. City planners have taken great care to blend the "new" Huatulco into its natural setting, and in fact most of the surrounding area has been set aside as a nature reserve.
Attractions & Activities
Visit one of the Bays of Huatulco. There are nine individual bays along the coast, some of which are accessible only by boat. A local guide can show you the best spots for snorkeling and fishing, or if you'd like to see more than one bay, take a guided tour by motorized catamaran.

Puerto Chiapas (Day 7)

Puerto Chiapas offers those looking for a close contact with a mystic, exotic and natural world, the door to a magical place with wonderful regional tours enjoying unequalled natural beauties, alternative tourism, ecotourism and archeology.

Puntarenas (Day 9)

Puntarenas is the Pacific coast gateway to Costa Rica. From Puntarenas visit the Rain Forest, Cloud Forest and Poas National Park. Also see San Jose, the capital city, located in the central valley at an altitude of 3,450 feet enjoying a "Spring-Like" average temperature of 72 degrees. The country is located on the Central American isthmus and is bounded on the north by Nicaragua, the Southeast by Panama, the east by the Atlantic Ocean and the west by the Pacific Ocean. With its tall mountains, forested slopes, green pasture lands and lush vegetation, Costa Rica is often referred to as the "Switzerland of Central America." A mountainous country, Costa Rica ranges from sea level to peaks as high as 13,000 feet and a succession of white, sandy beaches follow one another along the Pacific Coast. The country was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1502. Rumors of vast gold treasures (which never materialized ) led to the country's name - "Rich Coast."
Attractions & Activities
Puntarenas is a paradise for eco-tourists. Explore the rain forest on a horseback ride through the enchanting Valley of the Monkeys, where hundred-year-old trees are draped with orchids, ferns and bromeliads. You might see howler monkeys, butterflies, parrots and other colorful birds.

Fuerte Amador (Day 11)

This recently developed port with its modern shopping plazas is just next door to Panama City, once a vital link along the Golden Main. Be sure to visit both old and new, and shop for duty-free bargains, including the famous "molas" hand-woven by the Cuna Indians of San Blas.

Transiting The Panama Canal (Day 12)

The 48 mile-long (77 km) international waterway known as the Panama Canal allows ships to pass between the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean, saving about 8000 miles (12,875 km) from a journey around the southern tip of South America, Cape Horn.

Aruba (Day 14)

Located 15 miles north of Venezuela in the warm waters of the southern Caribbean, Aruba is home to beautiful white-sand beaches, 82-degree days, and some of the warmest people in the world. Our island is 19.6 miles long and 6 miles across, with a total area of 70 square miles. We're located just below the hurricane belt, and unlike many islands in the Caribbean, our climate is dry, so we rarely have a rainy day. On the south and west coasts of Aruba, you'll find Oranjestad, our capital city, and miles of beaches that have been named some of the best in the world. Here, you'll find most of the hotels and all-inclusive resorts in Aruba, and Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). In the interior of the island, you'll find Arikok National Park, a desert like preserve with a variety of wildlife, cacti and dramatic rock formations. You'll also find some of Aruba's most striking views, as the ocean crashes against the rugged shoreline below. On the northeast coast, along the windward shore, you'll see our island's unofficial mascots, the fofoti trees. The constant trade winds have permanently sculpted them into graceful, southwesterly bending forms.

Ft. Lauderdale (Day 17)

Known as the "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale has 165 miles of canals that wind through this waterfront city. With plenty of sun and sand, you'll find the beaches inviting and only minutes from elegant shops and championship golf courses. After dark, the town offers many five-star restaurants and exciting nightclubs, all set in a lush tropical environment.
Attractions & Activities
People have been flocking to Fort Lauderdale's beaches for decades. And with good reason. Fort Lauderdale Beach is a two-mile strip of beautiful beach featuring the recently renovated Promenade, which offers all sorts of bars, restaurants and shops.
